Big-Little Reveal

Bigs, littles, reveal, oh my! It's that time of year again big-little reveal!
While the thought of sorority family expansion can be quite overwhelming, yours truly has a list of tricks and tips to make the event as special as ever with out breaking the bank. After all this isn't just another sorority event, this is a chance to take a new member under your wing, be her guide, her sister, and most importantly her friend.
While reveal ceremonies are as unique as a chapters member, The Yellow Canary has a list of gift ideas sure to please the chicest of new members.
As a new member excited to represent their chapter on campus, lettered shirts can be a great option. Instead of ordering shirts from greek certified websites you can now create your own lettered apparel! You will need the following items:
T-shirt, Sweatshirt, Bag...what ever you want to put letters on
4 yards of fabric total, 2yards of one patter and 2 yards of another corresponding pattern or solid color
Heat and Bond (peel and iron version)
Fabric Scissors
Card stock
Pencil
First print off your sororities greek letters by searching online. Cut out the outside border of one letter and the inside border for the same letter, repeat until you have two copies of each letter of your chapter.
Next you will trace the cutouts onto card stock and cutout to use as stencils.
Following the making of your stencils, place each letter on the chosen fabric and cut out a square enclosing the letter. Next cut a square of heat and bond that is slightly smaller than your fabric swatch and iron on to the wrong side of your fabric swatch.
Proceed by placing your stencil onto the fabric swatch, trace and cut out, repeat for every desired letter onto your chosen fabric.
Once you have all your letters cut out peel off the paper backing from your smaller letters, place them on your larger letters and iron the small letter onto the big letter. Once you have done so for each letter you can now peel off the backing of the larger letter and iron onto desired apparel. Voila! You have now made your very own lettered gift!
To accompany the gift throw in your littles favorite candy into a simple colored gift bag and finish off with multi-pattern ribbon in your littles favorite colors.
